CH Stonewalls Twin Cam Traveler TC HIC OFA

born June 7, 2001, aka Kammie

Kammie was my first Champion and is a true showgirl. She has a love for life and an attitude that gives you the chills. From the first day I saw her stacked and moved, I knew she was a winner. Kammie is a very refined young lady, with a black and red coat, adequate rear, awesome shoulder and a fun temperament. She lives to run and has that need to be the center of attention. Kammie has tested the waters in herding and agility, but prefers just being Kammie – a little free spirit.

Whitney is our DALLAS granddaughter who appears to have many of her granddad's traits. She loves to herd sheep, she has the attitude to show in conformation, and she has the loyalty of a great companion dog. We are very hopeful she will carry on Dallas's legacy in her progeny.

Whitney is a very rich black and red with substantial bone. She is very correct on both ends and has a mind you can’t help but love. Not only is she a beautiful representation of the breed, but she also loves to play and enjoys life immensely.

Whitney finished her championship in the United States in January of 2008. In July of 2008, we ventured to Canada to try our hand at handling. In one weekend, Whitney and I walked away with eight Canadian points. During the next trip, we came home with a new Canadian Champion.

In the upcoming year, I intend to continue training in herding, and in obedience. My long-term goal is to obtain a performance title on Am/Can  Dayglyn’s Emerald I Of Jesscar HIC OFA, aka Whitney. In the event we are able to achieve a performance title, Whitney would be awarded her dual title award, following in the Dayglyn legacy.

Whitney is our foundation to be built upon; being a Dallas granddaughter and Bono daughter we are hopeful our breeding program will be one of quality German Shepherd Dogs. Whitney not only comes from a strong OFA background but she herself OFA’d good hips, normal elbows, and is cardiac and thyroid certified. Because of our early experience with EPI, we chose to do routine blood work on all of our canine family. Whitney’s panel came back good and she shows no signs of any other health problems.

Ruthie arrived at Jescar Kennels on May 31, 2010, with welcome arms. We are extremely please to have another Dallas granddaughter in our kennel. Much thanks is owed to the breeders, Joe and Leslie Beccia and Tari Kridler, for entrusting us with such a fun-loving little girl. She is an absolute sweetheart. Ruthie is a traditional black and tan, very balanced, clean coming and going with a look at me attitude. Expression galore!  To date, Ruthie has ventured into the tracking venue and is very enthusiastic and willing to please.

My dearest Pilot, or should I say ‘my shadow,’ is a very dark, handsome sable who’s favorite pastime is hanging out on the couch.

Pilot’s first venture was conformation. But it didn’t take me long to realize he had no interest, and I was throwing away money. We then tried our hand in obedience. After about a dozen shows, it was apparent Pilot had second thoughts (sit-stays, no way!). At that point, I realized Pilot was happiest hanging out and being with his Mom.

At the age of 11, Pilot still tosses his toys, gives the girls heck and relaxes on his couch. He’s a true gem.

Ashya Wasylana Von Birken, CD

January 31, 1995 - March 21, 2003
"Ashya"

Ashya was my introduction to the German Shepherd Dog world, one that I will never forget or regret. In her short eight years of life she taught me the importance of staying educated.

Ashya was a beautiful black and tan, with a mind that would make you question yourself. She loved to play ball and did anything you asked of her, however, she had one temperament flaw: dog aggression.

At the age of 24 months, with the help of a local trainer, we were able to work through her problem and moved on to performance work. In fact, she did so well I was able to put a CD on her and move forward to her CDX. Sadly, over the next few years, we discovered she had EPI (Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency) and we had to retire her for good.

My soulmate now not only had a temperament flaw, but a serious health issue. After several years of enzymes, special diets, bloat, and heartbreak, we said goodbye. Ashya will always be by my side, showing me the way.
